This rare OPSUC1/3T Weymann bodied Cub was originally built as one of 12 for export to Trinidad. Ordered by Arimas Bus Service it was left on Southampton docks along with two others when the order was cancelled partway through delivery, it was later acquired with the other two by Jones Aberbeeg and was registered 889AAX in March '61. Seen arriving at the Bristol Vintage Bus Group open day 10th August 2008; now in the care of the Cardiff Transport Preservation Group after a few years in other ownership. [CTF423] Lancashire United 114, a 1938 Leyland Tiger TS8 with Roe B30F bodywork. The bus carries white edging to guard rails and mudguards to simulate wartime conditions. A unique Southdown survivor, Leyland Cub CUF404 bodied by Harrington coach work of Hove. These small buses were used all over Southdown’s operating areas; from the Portsmouth depots they were allocated to the Hayling Island services which crossed over the Old Hayling Bridge which had a weight restriction, these buses were new in 1936.
