From Doug at 2008-11-12 15:23:28 : 1972 saw ARY 225K on show at the Commercial Motor Show, Earls Court, London, displaying improved engine soundproofing making it a 'quiet bus only 77 decibels'. On returning to Leicester 225 settled down to a normal service life, although in 1979 it was involved in a serious road accident and sustained severe front end damage, suprisingly it was decided not to scrap 225 but repair it as an apprentice exercise. The bus eventually returned to service in 1980 until 1985 when it was converted into a non psv role as an 'Info-Bus'. In 1995 it was deemed surplus to requirements and was towed to the Snibston Discovery Park, Coalville for use as a canteen for school parties, it was eventually decided it was not suitable in this role and was returned to Abbey Park.
The bus is now owned by Michael Webster and has been fully restored by Yeates of Loughborough back into L.C.T livery of cream and maroon, 225 appears at a number of vehicle rallys across the country.
